SPORTS DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND ARBITRATION

The self-regulatory nature of Olympic and amateur sports require legal practitioners representing clients within this context to be familiar with the unique aspects of dispute resolution used in the Olympic Movement and affiliated organizations.

Knowledge of the rules, regulations and collectively-bargained agreements that form the basis for alternative dispute resolution in sport is essential to successfully representing clients caught on one side or the other of a sports dispute.

Buckner has the legal professionals with the expertise and knowledge critical to ensuring that clients are well-informed about dispute resolution, including arbitration, mediation and other proceedings conducted or recognized by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, IFs, NOCs, National Federations (or, in the United States of America, NGBs) and OCOGs, and advise them on how best to navigate this system in light of their legal status.
