Our attorneys and professionals have conducted investigations and represented clients in NCAA enforcement cases, and have assisted clients with inquiries on a range of college sports issues, including:

  • Academic fraud.
  • Athletics academic support programs.
  • NCAA compliance and enforcement.
  • Misconduct.
  • Violation of university regulations.

  • Unethical conduct.

Buckner attorneys use a comprehensive investigative plan to discover the relevant facts and, in conjunction with a detailed factual and legal analysis, to determine the full scope of the potential liability for clients. Our attorneys have extensive experience in reaching settlements and agreements with the NCAA enforcement staff to reduce the scope of potential allegations. Further, should a case lead beyond an investigation, Buckner can offer attorneys with extensive trial and hearing experience before federal and state courts, as well as NCAA and state high school athletic associations hearing committees.

A firm senior counsel worked as an investigator on the NCAA enforcement staff and served in a senior position with the NCAA Eligibility Center. One of our attorneys authored “Athletics Investigation Handbook: A Guide for Institutions and Involved Parties During the NCAA Enforcement Process,” the leading publication on conducting and managing NCAA enforcement investigations.
