v-Card

Lisa Eie, a Global Security and Investigation Consultant at Buckner, served as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for 25 years in a variety of field and managerial positions. While assigned to the FBI’s San Diego Office, she investigated federal drug trafficking violations targeting one of the most prolific criminal organizations in the world based in Mexico. She was also appointed to conduct investigations in a special unit targeting federal violations of public corruption laws.

Lisa was promoted to FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., to manage program operations for complex drug trafficking investigations worldwide in support of the FBI’s number one investigative priority at that time. As a manager at FBI Headquarters, she was selected to conduct risk assessments involving U.S. violations in the Dominican Republic and Haiti, working with U.S. Embassy personnel and local law enforcement officials. Lisa was also chosen for a supervisory position in the FBI’s largest office in Mexico City as an Assistant Legal Attaché. In this position, she managed and coordinated international drug trafficking investigations, and served as a liaison to the Mexican Attorney General’s drug trafficking enforcement branch.

In 2001, while assigned to the FBI’s office in New York City, Lisa was selected to be part of an elite team investigating the 9/11 terror attacks, including the prosecution of Zacarias Moussaoui, a co-conspirator who was in jail on 9/11 and did not participate in the attacks. During this investigation, she led a team directing the FBI’s collection of evidence worldwide and worked with foreign governments conducting collateral investigations. The 9/11 investigation culminated in the successful prosecution of Moussaoui.

Lisa was recognized for her work by being presented with the Attorney General’s Award for Excellence in Furthering the Interests of U.S. National Security in 2006. She has received numerous awards from the FBI during the course of her career.
